A tisket a tasket...
Dallin in a basket and anything else he can climb into or onto! I am surprised he hasn't had staples too!

In my next house I will not have TILE!
As you can see, tile stairs are not conducive to little heads. Clara fell backwards in our house and hit the back of her head on the tile stair. After 2 hours in the ER with both babies, the result was 4 staples and no naps for anyone! She is quite the little "toughy"! I guess this is just the beginning of staples, stitches, broken bones, etc. that I am sure to endure, I mean the babies are sure to endure! I didn't think it would start when they were only 14 months old!

This bed is too tall...this bed is just right!
During our vacation in Utah, Granee bought a couple of extra mattresses to accommodate the crowd we invited. The babies loved that they could climb onto the bed and lay on the pillows! They played on this bed for hours (okay not hours but minutes considering their attention span)!
Dallin loved laying back on the pillows and Clara had to have all of her blankets on the bed with her!

Back Blogging: Birthday Party
We have been a little busy for the past month or so and I admit I have been a little lazy with the whole blogging thing. I will strive to do better, but I am making no promises!
We went to Granee's house in Silver City for Thanksgiving and subsequently the babes' birthdays. Our BFF Sarah and Don made the trip from AZ as did our Grandma, Uncle Justy and Aunt Helen. Sarah made the amazing cake and came up with the book theme. She is truly wonderful! eating the cake was something Clara enjoyed thoroughly while Dallin was a bit more reserved, but all in all they had fun and received many great books!

Found Memories
I had to post this picture. The stool that is being used by the babes as a car was the same stool I used as a child to stand on, sit on, climb on (Dallin's previous post), ride in, get my hair combed and use mom's bathroom sink and all other possible ways to use a stool. Mason and I used it as a TV stand, plant stand. You name it it has been used in some facet or another. It has since been recovered several times and this time Granee had the great idea to put heavy plastic on it to protect it from the babes. I love that my babies can use something that I have such found memories of and that they can create their own memories too!
Falling Leaves
I need to vent...I think raking leaves is for the birds. I haven't minded having a yard that I have to take care of as opposed to what we have been used to (concrete slabs and an HOA handling all the yard work). I have enjoyed gardening and pulling weeds. I have loved growing a garden and eating the great veggies, but I have found something I hate...raking leaves. I started a couple of days ago and after and hour of raking I only had one black bag full to show my efforts. Oh don't get me wrong I had plenty of piles of leaves to be bagged, but I also had 2 helpers who thought climbing through the piles of leaves was how you cleaned them up (Dallin) and who also thought eating the leaves might be a more effective way of doing the job (Clara). Needless to say I didn't get much done and then we had a slight wind storm the next day. You only need a slight wind storm to ruin perfectly piled leaves. So, I have decided to wait until ALL of the leaves have fallen off the trees. I apologize to my neighbors who have to look at my yard. If you don't like it you are welcome to my rake and bags!
Cute pictures of my helpers in the yard!
Bath time is for standing?
The twins love baths, but lately it has been a little stressful for their mom. They think getting in the bath means they can stand and walk (Clara) in the water. I am constantly telling them to sit down. They sit down really fast when I get their towels...do you think they are already that smart?!
Mason took these tonight...don't worry they are G rated!
