New Family Photos

Thanks Heather for a great photo shoot! Aren't my babies adorable?! I may be a bit biased. Also, first family photos we have taken with my mom in over 12 years!

Halloween Spooks!

Tons of activities on Halloween! The picture of Bennett and the pumpkin is what he won at the library during the Tot class. He was really excited as you can tell! Getting pictures of 4 babies in costumes was a little entertaining, but we tried our best.
List of spooks for those who can't figure it out:
Aviator - Dallin
Princess Belle - Clara
Lady Bug - Ava
Dinosaur - Bennett

Really hard to get pics of kids together...

Dallin not smiling after his nap today. So serious!

Clara had to take a picture with "chunk-a-monk" she is getting so big and is still the drama queen or princess as she calls herself!

Bennett high centered and flying as he does a lot! We love his sweet spirit and constant smile. He is finally feeling better after a bought of sickness.

Ava baby is our sweet baby. I still cannot believe the blue eyes! She has just figured out how to roll onto her tummy, but has forgotten how to roll back! She just screams when she is done on her tummy!

I have been really lazy about taking pictures these days. I finally pulled the camera out when only Ava was awake so all the pictures are of the babes as they got up from naps today.
Life has been wild. It is crazy all day, everyday, but we love it and wouldn't change it. I have decided to make it crazier by signing up for a Ragnar race in February with 11 other crazies who are going to run a 200 mile race in AZ. My 3 legs make up for about 18.5 miles. I know, crazy but fun. Training has begun and life just got crazier.

Ok, ok...here are some pictures!

My sweet babies are 5 months old! Dallin and Clara are going to be 3 in less than 2 months! Here are some new pics of my adorable yet monster like children whom I love!

Bennett (aka Chunka Munk): The baby of the family by 1 minute, yet I believe he will be our biggest kid. He is rolling everywhere and has been for about a month. He is our happiest baby. He loves to laugh and make funny noises. He also loves making a spitting sound, especially when I am feeding him. He sleeps through the night and is a very easy going baby. He makes us smile.

Ava (aka Abba): She is a very mellow baby with incredible blue eyes. She has been a little fussy lately because she has been sick with 2 UTIs in the past month, but for the most part she is very content to lay on the floor and watch what is going on. She can roll but is not interested, which is fine with momma! She is a momma's girl, much to daddy's dismay! We love our sweet Ava girl.

Clara (aka Baby): She is our accessory girl. Very girly and loves to dance and sing. She knows every princess song and movie by heart and loves to watch princess movies. She is going to be my challenge child. Mason says it is because we are exactly alike and that is why we butt heads a lot. I love her tons and try everyday to keep her out of her room as much as possible! Clara is daddy's girl and he loves every minute of it!

Dallin (aka Honey): The oldest by 12 minutes, he keeps us on our toes. That boy remembers EVERYTHING! He wants to do everything you are doing in the house and loves to help clean and cook. He sings the hymns in church a little too loud for daddy's liking, but I love that he wants to sing. He wants to go everywhere in daddy's truck and insists he is big enough to drive! He has just been potty trained and thinks he is quite the BIG boy, but still believes he needs to sleep with his mommy! Yes, he is still very much a momma's boy, but we love him and there is never a dull moment with this boy in our family!

When I'm a big boy...

The other night, we were eating dinner and as usual when asked if she wanted cheese on her spaghetti, Clara said, "no cheese." She has been anti-cheese for a few months unless it is in melted form. Dallin then said he wanted cheese because he was a big boy. The following conversation happened between Dallin and Clara:
Dallin: "I a big boy and like cheese."
Clara: "I not a big boy"
Dallin: "Big boys eat cheese."
Clara: "When I a big boy I eat cheese, okay?"
Dallin: "Okay!"
I didn't correct her about being a girl instead of a boy until a few days later when I asked her if she wanted cheese for lunch and she said yes. I gave her some cheese expecting the usual of saying "no cheese" but she happily ate cheese. Dallin then looked at her and said, "yea, baby is a big boy (he calls her baby)!" Clara responded by smiling and clapping saying, "I a big boy now!"
After this realization, I told her that she was a big girl not boy and she looked at me like I was crazy and said, "no I a big boy!"
What do mom's know anyway! LOL!
PS Pictures to come in the next day or so!

Life with four babies in pictures!

I am too tired to go through all the photos and add some witty and cute comment about my children, so the picture post will have to suffice! If you have questions on who is who, please note that Bennett has the most hair and it is really dark and Ava has the only blue eyes in the family (we don't know if she will keep them yet). Clara is the one wearing all the accessories (except for first picture as Dallin was dressed by Lena our student charge for a month in June) and Dallin is the one looking a little tired and has crazy hair. Enjoy!

A view from my counter

No, we haven't opened a pharmacy in our kitchen...all of these wonderful meds belong to Dallin. It has been a rough couple of weeks for the poor kid:
swimmers ear, tonsillitis, teething through his 2 year old molars one at a time and now canker sores all over his mouth in and out. He hasn't been sleeping, eating or drinking much for the past week and now the new game is what can we get him to eat. I have never imaged myself asking Dallin before breakfast if he would like some chocolate or an ice pop! But what do you do when he won't eat because it hurts? Desperate times call for desperate measures!
Oh, side note, why do kids get sick on the weekend when your only options are the ER or an insta care? We spent a lovely afternoon with Dallin on Saturday visiting the ER for Magic Mouth wash! Poor guy! We are ready to get back to normal, as crazy as that is!

And then there were four...

I needed to get the babies pictures done so I could send out the baby announcement and in the process I decided to get all four of the babes pics taken. A great friend in Silver City took these for us while I was there at a doctor's follow up appointment. They turned out great, but I may be a bit biased!

Surround Sound!

Okay, I have a very good excuse, 2 excuses, to why I have not blogged as of late. I am exhausted all the time and the other times I am sleeping! I will try harder to update more frequently but here are the latest pics of the new and old babies. We are all doing well, just trying to get into the swing of having 4 babies under 3 years old. It is a crazy busy house, but we are so excited and grateful to have 4 beautiful and healthy (finally) babies. We wouldn't have it any other way.

Bennett Michael Mitchell

April 30, 2011
5 pounds 15 ounces
18.5 inches

(Currently 8 pounds 9 ounces and 20.5 inches!)
We call him our chunky monkey. He is by far the biggest baby we have ever had! He is always "starving" and has a really cute squeak when he is upset. We also don't know where he got his hair, but we are all experiencing hair envy!

Ava Sarah Mitchell
April 30, 2011
5 pounds 2 ounces
18 inches

(Currently 6 pounds 9 ounces and 19.25 inches)
She is our sweet and mellow baby of the two new additions. She has big blue eyes that I am sure she will not keep and just looks around a lot. She is tiny compared to her brother and only gets mad when she is hungry.

Twins again! And now adding to our surround sound in the house!

Big brother and sister "riding" Uncle Justy's dirt bike. Dallin was in heaven!

Dallin "painting" with daddy's pastry brush and water on the wall.

Clara loves this "bow bow" and must wear it daily. I try to hide it occasionally!
