All hell has broken loose...

Excuse my french, but in the past month life at the Mitchell house got a lot more busy, crowded, complicated and messy.
Exhibit A:

This is what happens when you are trying to add a little paint to the place...you find mold under the baseboards, which leads to Mason tearing (literally) the room apart...which leads to seeing outside the house for a couple of days which inevitably leads to Marissa having a breakdown. (In my defense, I have only had 2 so far!)
Exhibit B:

Dallin is apparently allergic to kiwi or mango...this polka dot baby had spots for a week and then they went away. I did not need a sick baby in all the craziness.
Exhibit C:

My children have become accustomed to getting in my bathtub without water and with clothes on and I haven't made a fuss because I am either painting, scrubbing or some other activity other than playing with my children, so they have learned new tricks and other such survival skills! Side note: Clara is not to be without a Baby these days and most of the time she has 2 babies!
Exhibit D:

Dallin is protesting the new addition (and seemingly permanent) of a baby gate blocking what mommy is doing. I was just beyond the gate painting and didn't need his help.
Exhibit E:

Clara and Dallin now calculate everything. This is when mommy asked to figure out how much our new house repairs were going to be...result: something with an exponent!
Exhibit F:

This is our house guest and live in repair guy, Uncle Justy! He has been doing all the work on the house while Mason works and goes to school. He is staying until the house is done and Mason is grateful as he doesn't have a wife having melt downs everyday...just every week!
Exhibit G:

My TV room is now in the dining room and my dining room is in the kitchen. This is the couch where daddy and the babies are getting ready for bed. It appears that the babes are putting daddy to bed and not the other way around!

So readers, if it seems that I do not blog as often I hope I have given good cause. I will try to remember to take pics of the babes more often (right now I am just saving them from cans of WD-40, saws, screw drivers and other various items on the ground at their disposal). As for the crowd that has been here, we have also had cousin Sterling living with us during the week. It has been an adventure for all and one that I am ready to be over.

Update on the twins!

I was going to write a quick blog about what the babies were up to without pictures, but I thought I would get into trouble, so I took some pictures of some pictures that we took with a our photographer in Utah while we were there over the holidays. Is that breaking copyright laws? Oh well, Mason informed me that it would have looked better had I scanned them in and them emailed them in PDF format, but I didn't want to take that much time...so here they are with their imperfections, but aren't their faces cute?

Anyway, update...they are into everything!!! Between the two of them and their dad fixing the entire house at the same time, my house is a disaster! The babies are into running these days, everywhere. We have a lot of bumps and bruises and scrapes to prove their running skills!
Dallin: loves to move furniture around. Kid size furniture. He picks up his little chairs and with grunting noises, hauls them to the gate that keeps the cat safe and tries to climb the gate, or to the back door to open it, or to the kitchen sink to get himself some water! He also loves helping his dad with all the power tools that are hanging around the house. I have already scrubbed a pair of PJs and an outfit I love feverishly trying to get paint out of them...good to know, tears and scrubbing get the job done! He is still a mama's boy and he still is my little lover boy. He is mellow and sweet, but he doesn't sleep through the night yet and I am getting very tired in all facets of the word!
Clara: is a girl! She is incredibly observant and smart. She jabbers all day long bossing me, her brother and anyone within earshot around. She loves her daddy and has just recently decided to say "mama" and give me big hugs too! I enjoy them immensely. She is also very dramatic. One minute she is fine the next she is screaming with a very high pitched tone. I cannot stand it and am looking for suggestions to get her to stop other than putting her in time out every 5 minutes. She sleeps through the night like a big girl and always has a mischievous grin on her face when she is doing something she is not supposed to be doing!
Both: They cannot be away from each other very long. When I put Clara in time out (even Dallin, but he is in less than Clara), Dallin has to go and stand by the port-a-crib until she is out. They have no sense of space and are constantly on top or next to each other. They don't seem to even notice it! They both blow kisses when they are saying goodbye and are really cute about waving and saying hi! We love them and are so grateful they are in our family!
