Dallin and Clara turned 2 over the Thanksgiving break. We had a great time in Phoenix, AZ with the family and it was all about the baby dolls and power tools for the babes. I have also included some great pics of the kids from the past month as I have not felt good enough to do much of anything!

Halloween and more

Here are some pics from Halloween. I wasn't in charge of the camera and Daddy didn't take the time to take great pics (in his defense there was a lot going on at the Trunk-o-Treat party!).
The PJ pics are from this morning when they woke up at 6:30am and ran around the house! I hate time changes!

Not wanting to do anything

Okay...I just wanted to let everyone know why I haven't been blogging. I feel terrible all day everyday. This pregnancy has been very different. I am extremely tired and nauseated all the time. Please forgive me and I will try to post some pictures of the babes when I have the energy to get my camera out!
On another note, we are moving back to Carlsbad, NM next week. We should be there for a year.

Announcement

No pictures with this announcement...today we found out that we are expecting twins AGAIN! I am due around the end of May 2011 and we are very excited. I will post pics of the babes in a couple of days. Right now I am going to bed!

Family Photo Shoot

Okay, I take TONS of pictures of the babes all the time, but we do not get professional pictures done very often. I am lazy for one and it takes too much time to figure out outfits and time...etc. We finally took advantage of the time in Utah to have our favorite photographer take some pictures of our family this past month. There were plenty of great shoots of the kids and a couple of Mason and I. Here is a preview (mostly for Sarah). And yes, I will send them out to the various Grandparents, friends and admirers when I get 2 seconds to go to Costco for more than milk, eggs and diapers!
PS Yes the rumors are true, we are pregnant again but we will not know with how many for another week. I will update as I know!

We love the hats our BFF Sarah made for us. Dallin wears his when he is pretending to run away from tigers and Clara needs hers on to draw and color!

Well we have been busy...here is an update on the latest happenings in the Mitchell Family.
We moved to SLC specifically for me to do another round of IVF and we implanted this past Tuesday. I have been on bed rest for the past 3 days and still have a couple to go. The babies are having a great time with Granee and Aunt Helen who came to help with all the craziness.
Mason has been in town the past couple of weekends and other than that is quite busy with work and school.
All in all, there is never a dull moment with the babes. Dallin got sick a couple of weeks ago and gave his cold to EVERYONE. He is feeling great, but Granee, Clara and I are pretty miserable and Mason let me know that he got it too! So I am sure Helen will catch the bug too! Those with low immune systems stay away!

New Big Baby Bedding!

Since moving to SLC, I decided to move Dallin and Clara into big kid beds (AKA twin mattresses with frames). It has been a challenge getting them to stay in the beds, requiring more time with mama sleeping with the babes, but it is working out.
Another problem I had was bedding. They are going to be in the same room when we move back home with daddy (wherever that is) and I wanted their bedding to be something they could grow with, but still had a toddler feel and would coordinate without being matchy!
Calling my best friend Sarah always works out. Look at the beautiful bedding Sarah and her wonderful mama came up with! I am so excited about the bedding. I found some cute sheets for them and everything has come together so nicely! Thank you, thank you Sarah! We love and miss you terribly! Come see us soon!

All the babies loved the horses. Which was very surprising for me regarding Clara. She loves animals BUT only from a great distance. She kept signing and saying "more more" after the ride was over! Benjamin had to ride twice! And Dallin just wanted off until he had to get off and then he wanted back on!

...I don't have the ending for that statement. I just thought it looked like a good eye catching phrase.
We have been busy here is Salt Lake City. A couple of weeks ago we went to Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, UT with our cousins Ashley, Sam and Benjamin. We (the babies) rode horses and fed the animals. It was great to see Ashley and her cute family. The quote of the day with them was when Ashley asked Benjamin (who speaks quite eloquently for a 2 1/2 year old) to ask his friends (Dallin and Clara) if we were ready to go see the animals and he replied,

Mom, my friends don't talk so well!

We have also spent time wearing sunglasses, playing in the sink (Dallin can climb into and onto anything he wants to now!), holding ketchup bottles while wearing a white shirt (to all the Grandmas having a heart attack, the bottle was still sealed) and just looking cute in general.
We have loved our time with Granee and the weather in SLC, but we sorely miss our Daddy!

Staying in Granee's downtown condo has its many advantages. One of which is the Concert series they put on in the Brigham Young Historical Park every Tuesday and Friday nights. The babies love music and it has been nice to wear them out by walking down the hill to the concert, dancing at the concert and then walking back UP the hill to go to bed. I have really enjoyed being back in a big city with so many cultural experiences right at my door step!
