The bliss of sleeping all night!
I have been told since I was pregnant that getting the twins on a sleeping and eating schedule would be the best for me and for the babies. Well, we had successfully gotten them on an eating schedule right away, but as life would have it, the sleeping schedule was put on the back burner as we moved when they were 2 months old and just barely moved into our own place 3 weeks ago. Thanks to Uncle Chuck and his great house, the twins decided to sleep through the night on their own about a month ago at Uncle Chuck's house. They have continued to sleep through the night without a feeding for the past month! On occasion (the past 2 nights) Dallin decides he needs a 3am snack, but other than that it is sleep from 10pm to 7am! These babies have been so good and they knew their mama needed sleep for her sanity of taking care of 2 babies alone in a new city! I am grateful for sleep and I believe Mason is grateful also!

Sweet Baby
Who turned out the lights?
Johnson Fun!
We had a great visit with my cousin Karen and her family (Ben, Anna, Scott and baby Parker Mason) this week. They had been visiting her sister Michelle and family in Roswell and they came to Carlsbad on their way out of town to say hello to us. Here are a couple of cute pics. Anna (6) only wanted to hold the baby girl. I think she is tired of boys! We really enjoyed the visit and hope to see them soon.
The family minus Parker who was taking a nap at the time!
Can you believe the size difference in only 3 months? Clara was very concerned as she was sandwiched between 2 boys!
Scott feeding Dallin. He informed me that he knew how to burp babies!

Anna with the baby girl Clara! Aren't they cute? Love the toothless smile Anna!

Running with Mama
Since purchasing my jogging stroller, I have tried to use it on a daily basis actually jogging. The babies seem to enjoy it as long as they had just been fed before putting them in their snuggle jammies and putting hats on their heads. They hate wearing hats and I think it has something to do with the fact that they wore hats 24/7 for the first month of their lives! Here are some pics of the babies snuggled for our run this morning. They slept through the entire ordeal. It is so hard being a baby!
PS The hats are courtesy of Wilson and Desiree! They were made with love and great talent!

We are the proud new owners of a new (well new to us the house was built in the 50s) house in Carlsbad. It has it's quirks, but it is home and we are trying to move in while Mason works 10-12 hour days and I handle 2 babies who need a lot of attention. In other words, it is a SLOW process. We might be moved in over the course of a year or so! These are pics of the new house before furniture was moved in and as we paint and move in I will update photos. Be patient, as previously mentioned, this may take a while!

New Toys!
Long before Mason and I got pregnant, we had decided that baby toys were overrated and that minimal was best. I honestly haven't bought any toys or stuffed animals for the babies. All we have have been given to us by various family members. I have bought books, because I believe you can never have too many books, hence the 5 bookcases of books in our house (currently in storage). Anyway, back to toys, I broke down and bought 3 toys for the babies that seem to be necessary:
1. Baby Glow Sea Horse to sleep with. Clara has never liked noises, but after staying with Karen, Jared and the 7 boys, she has gotten used to it and now falls asleep to noise! Small blessings and well worth the $12 spent on this toy!
2. Bumbo Chair for keeping the babies next to me but not always on their backs. The babies are not quite strong enough to sit in it for long, but Dallin enjoyed it! PS They only had purple and I decided I only needed one, so purple it is! Dallin doesn't mind!
3. Play Gym to keep Dallin from watching TV. I noticed the other day that Dallin kept wanting to watch TV. This is not okay with me, so I bought him and his sister the play gym to keep them from getting bored. Clara seems to like it the best as it has a big octopus that she has been having conversations with today!
